The War in Me

Knowing what is right and still doing wrong. This is where the story begins.

PARADOXA DRIVE

The struggle, spoken honestly.

The War in Me began with Cole Fleming’s desire to write a song that honestly described the struggle with sin. Starting with Romans 7:15, that idea grew into Flesh & Glory: an album tracing Paul’s words through Romans 7 and 8.

THE SCRIPTURE CONNECTION

Romans 7:14–24

Romans 7:14–24 gives language to the conflict between wanting to do good and still struggling with sin. The passage’s cry for rescue leads into the thanksgiving of Romans 7:25 and the hope explored throughout the rest of the album.

ITS PLACE IN THE ALBUM

One part of the journey.

As the opening track, The War in Me introduces the conflict that the album follows toward grace and assurance. Thanks Be to God comes next. A separate female-harmony remix revisits this opening song as Track 9.
